Michael Phelps found himself fighting to make the cut today in the 400 Individual Medley (IM) trials this morning, finishing with the slowest time of all qualifiers.

And though he just barely made the finals tonight winning his heat by a mere 7/10ths of a second, the question on everyone's mind is — can he beat out rival American swimmer Ryan Lochte, let alone the rest of the field that swam faster than he did?
